  • The Program:
    30 hours of high-level workshops + curated evening programs. All the teachers are professional improvisers with 15+ years of teaching experienceand have participated in the Bridges Project (bridgesimpro.eu), which focuses on multilingual improvisation. The Academy is a chance for us to share the discoveries we have made in the Bridges project about how theatrical improvisation can create connections across different cultures and languages.
     

  • Cost: €80 per student. We are able to offer such a low fee thanks to the generous support of the European Union's Creative Europe program.
     

  • Lodging: Room & board included! Single beds in shared rooms (2-3 people), divided by gender. Note: You can request a specific roommate.
     

  • Meals: All meals provided are deliciously vegetarian. All meals from dinner on September 6th to breakfast on September 12th are included.
     

  • Travel: We strongly encourage traveling ecologically via train, bus, or carpooling with fellow participants. (Please note: Travel costs are not included in the fee.)

We will also host short workshops on how to apply for a European grant, environmental impact and gender equality in European projects.

 

All participants will be required to accept our Code of Conduct.

Participant profile

  1. Age: 35 and under

  2. Experience: Professionals or semi-professionals with a serious approach to theater/improv.

  3. Gender Equity: There will be a strict 4-to-4 split by gender per country.

  4. Language: The official language of the Academy is "bad English"—as long as you’re willing to try, you’re in!
